Lord Jahza - Jahza’s Vengeance

It is said that venting anger may do more harm than good but some people just pay deaf ears to serious issues and only by emitting some sort of anger is the only way you can open their deaf ears.

I have been contemplating on writing something about Nigerian Rappers frequent insertion of South of France into their rhymes when most of them don’t even know where the French embassy is located. Pardon my English if you feel what I am saying is aimed at you. The status quo of Hip-Hop is deteriorating as of some seconds ago so while should some Nigerian Rappers contribute to its demolition? That is a one million dollar question you guys ought to ask yourselves as we commence the New Year.

I am aware of hip-hop global hymn that “If it doesn’t make money, then it doesn’t make sense”, but these rappers ignorance is costing kids their education if not their lives. When has it become cool for kids to quit school for rap without an insightful knowledge of what the culture itself is? Rappers showing off their newly acquired jewelries (although some are borrowed) on TV trying to influence inquisitive young minds into believing that material chattels is the scale use to measure your intellectual stance. There is nothing bad making money but you all should be sensible enough to know that while you exploit hip-hop’s identity to make money, you should in return teach the little ones by nourishing their minds with knowledge that will aide them to become better beings. I am done talking…you fools should better rethink your strategies in 2009 because we are done listening to wack shits. Shout out to Modenine and all those underground cats for refusing to dumb it down.

DJ Denox Presents: 2008 Heavy Hitters

In couple of kiloseconds the year 2008 will come to a closure to pave the way for the year MMIX. I was in the process of selecting tracks randomly; putting together some of my 2008 favorite tracks without knowing that DJ Denox has done a compilation of the tracks he produced in 2008. I must admit I am just giving a first listen to almost all the tracks, too bad for a hip-hop blogger like me with the thought that I have listened to almost all of ’08 tracks. Getting back on point, I put one and two together consulted an image editor, created the image above and there you have DJ Denox 2008 Heavy Hitters. Good looking out Denox and don’t forget to put me on your top list when dishing out tracks in ’09. Happy New Year in advance!!!
