“Mi- fliss” government name Michael Akhimie born some time in the late 70’s, referred to as an Underground myth since the mid 90’s finally steps out into the scene on his own terms with introspective lyrics, a ‘cash register’ appeal, still remaining gritty & street. Filled with the consciousness of the art of HIP HOP reminiscent of the late 80’s Hip Hop, single handedly repped his squad in grass root gigs in Lagos, walking’ away with the crowds endorsement as “King of the Street ‘n’ Stage” of  Hip Hop.

Had his high school education at Baptist Academy, Obanikoro Lagos and had a stint in Auchi Polytechnic but withdrew in 1999 on critical real life issues to face up squarely on Hip Hop. An emcee in totality from the mid 80’s, he crafted his art after the likes of Rakim & Kool G Rap both American Hip Hop icons. The introduction of Dela Soul, Jungle brother, A Tribe Called Quest & the Native Tongues movement revealed the infinite creative potential of Hip Hop, this expanded his writing & rap skills above the Hardcore Persona he was tagged while in High school by other rappers & friends due to the violent dramas he encountered and braved while growing up within the ghetto suburbs of Somolu, Lagos which increased his street credibility.

He is possibly the most imitated and respected MC by mainstream and upcoming Hip Hop artists in Nigeria, highly respected on and off the Microphone. Actively involved in the emancipation of Hip Hop in Nigeria since the mid 90′s till date, he won an award as a member of the group Wicked All Stars in the first ever Hip Hop Awards held in Nigeria in 2000 tagged Afro Hip Hop Awards. He is also the half of the duo called Internash Fam which Morphed from Wicked All Stars. Mi-fliss debut album titled ‘The Banana Theory’ is a sure treat for core Hip Hop and ardent lovers of good music.

Includes the lead single ‘Ash Clap’ which premiered on DJ Boombastics (Star FM) new music break out program called ‘PM Exclusive’ in his words he referred to it as “…the hottest Hip Hop track with a high potential to blow on a global level” from the shores of Africa. Mi-fliss also features in the novel various artistes compilation album titled ‘Royalty’ being released by Illific Music a sub division of the entertainment marketing company Illific Solutions Ltd , which presents the opportunity for fans to watch his performance in the Royalty Tour event scheduled to hold in Benin, come October. His album feature guest appearances by top A-list acts in the Nigerian scene.

The album is scheduled for release in 2008, jointly by Illific Music and Runz Entertainment. Presently building and working alongside Jonarch the Monarch the ace Hip Hop producer, on a collaboration mixtape project to forge the best serving of Hip Hop music on a dub plate (Vinyl/Compact Disc) first time ever, in the History of Nigeria.

He has worked with Artists such as the afore mentioned Brooklyn based rapper Franchize, Romanian based Interventii Lirice,German based Rapper/Producer Brain Caos/Soul Rebellz,Canadian Duo Pig & Ear 2 Ear. Coupled with his deft production skill likened to that of J-Dilla, Pete Rock, Jazzy Jeff , Premier & took it as a career after his friend & partner Exceptional One, Who Happens to be one of Nigeria’s Top 3 producers, directed and instilled confidence in Him & His Artistic direction as a beat maker & Producer which most labeled Bizarre. He was also building with the Late Proof of D12 on a collaboration a week before Proof’s death.

He is presently rendering production to some of his acquaintances. His Production Skills have earned him props & acquaintances some mentioned above. His production skills have sparked interest in Management Firms, Recording Companies and top notch production companies in the United States.
